So, that’s it. I’ve ended the second longest stretch of having it road legal. Oppo has really been instrumental in helping me prioritize the truck. Your feedback, advise and nice comments help keep me focused on the truck.
I did a lot in the truck this summer; it was cool having it insured for my 5th wedding anniversary. My wife and I took it to wineries, distilleries, restaurants, walks and many other dates.
I took the truck to the track where I volunteer and it helped carry safety gear and other volunteers to their stations. I also attended my first car show as a participant
And finally, I took lots of photos. Here are my favorites
Here are the some photos from today prior to taking my plates off.

Now you’re just showing off... but it’s totally deserved. I can’t say it enough, your truck is unreal.

If I had to pick a favorite it would be the 6th. Golden hour, lights on, could be straight from a Chrysler brochure in period.

Congrats on getting it roadworthy!

I love that photo. It’s my lockscreen on my PC and in my wallpaper slideshow at work.

I can definitely see why. Hope spring and fresh insurance returns soon!

I think it will make occasional returns when the sun shines or at christmas time. A temp permit is $30 per day.

Good stuff.
Trip permits in BC come with insurance?
![]() 10/21/2018 at 22:19 |

Yeah, since we buy our insurance from the government, the permit is a one stop shop for temporary use.

Wow, it’
s probably cheaper to pay the $10K in trip permits for some people with more “challenged” driving records
.

Something is terribly, terribly wrong when you effectively have to pay $30 for permission to
use your own truck for a single
day
.

That’s similar to Texas’ small move permits, which I’ve used before. If you want to pay less, you keep it insured and road-legal.
